Soviet T-44 Tank 1/100
Soviet T-44A and -44M medium tank with ZiS-S-53 85mm gun and DTM 7.62mm machine gun. Began development in 1943 as a project to improve T-34's shortcomings while having potential for further improvements in future. The project succeeded in retaining T-34's mobility while improving armor and serviceability but did not replace T-34, as the improvements did not warrant the loss in tank production that would have been caused by the change. 2000 were built and deployed to the Far East and eventually improved to the T-44M standard, with T-54's drive train, improved radios and many other improvements. While T-44 never saw combat, lessons learned in it's design led directly to T-54/55.
Each tank comes with one open and one closed cupola.
