British A41 Centurion Mk I Tank 1/100
This is the original, as intended for World War 2, A41 Centurion heavy cruiser tank. Armed with an OQF 17 pounder main gun and 20mm Polsten autocannon, Centurion started the design process in September 1943 and entered production in January 1945 as an answer to the problems that had plagued British tank design. Designed to be agile, highly cross country capable, with the best British tank gun of the war and armor equivalent to contemporary heavy tanks, Centurion would have been a war winner, had the war not already been won when it entered service. Nonetheless, Centurion proved to be one of the best tanks of the Cold War as it evolved over the next 40 years. Available with or without skirts in this listing. Each tank comes with one closed and one open cupola module.
Many other versions of this classic tank are in development. This will include Centurions through Mk 10, Strv 104 (81 not distinct from Mk 3 and 5, 101 from Mk 10), Dutch Mk 5 and 5/2NL many Israeli Sho't variants and Oliphant Ib (original and 1a also not distinct from Mk 3 and 5/2 respectively).
