Japanese Type 1 Chi He tank with Type 1 high velocity 47mm gun and two Type 97 7.7mm machine guns. Chi He was intended to replace Chi Ha Kai as an improved battle tank to counter Allied armor, featuring a 40% more powerful engine, thicker armor, improved crew layout and the use of welding rather than riveting. Designed in 1941 but did not begin construction until 1943 due to material shortages. Ultimately only 170 were built, and never left the Home Islands. Chi He's hull was used as the basis for the Chi Nu medium tank, which is also available. Each tank comes with one open and one closed commander’s cupola module. All models can be had in alternate scales with price varying by size.
