US M548 tracked cargo vehicle. Not a fighting vehicle, but sometimes armed with an M2 .50 calibre heavy machine gun for self defense. Based on the M113 APC, the M548 entered US service in 1960 as an all terrain cargo vehicle with a 5 US ton cargo capacity. While more expensive to operate than conventional trucks, tracked cargo vehicles are not restricted to roads or favorable weather and soil conditions. The M548 is the basis for many variants and is in use internationally today.
Each model comes with two M2 .50 calibre heavy machine guns, which may be glued to the ring mount. Available with or without a covered cargo bed.
