US M-47 Patton tank with M36 90mm gun, M2HB .50 calibre heavy machine gun and two Browning M1919 .30 calibre machine guns. Rushed into production in 1950 as part of the Korean War tank panic, as M26 Pershing proved unsatisfactory even after improvements and M48 development was proving fraught. Production delays kept all but a handful of M47s from service in the Korean War and eventual deployment of the superior M48 resulted in M47 being declared obsolete in US service in 1959. The last American M47s were withdrawn from service and exported to US allies by the early 1960s. Some of few M47s sent to Korea were equipped with 18" searchlights, these were incorrectly labelled as "late US service" in previous listings.
This is an all new design with improved detail that is much closer to true 1/100 scale and comes with two M2s and one open and one closed commander's cupola module. A searchlight equipped version will be available soon.
