US M2 M3 Bradley IFV CFV 1/100
US Army M2A1 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle or M3A1 cavalry fighting vehicle with M242 Bushmaster 25mm chaingun, M240C 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, twin BGM-71 TOW anti-tank guided missiles. This is the first version of the Bradley to see wide spread service following it's infamously protracted and troublesome development. The IFV and CFV have no external differences, so the same model serves for both. Cavalry Bradleys are distinguished internally by seats for no more than three dismounts and stowage for more cannon and missile ammunition, and doctrinally by different roles and missions and a tendency to wear Stetsons. While the IFV was originally equipped with M231 firing port weapons (a sightless, stockless, automatic only version of the M16) these were quickly deleted as the US Army rapidly came to the conclusion that the idea of infantrymen executing their missions while mounted didn't work, just as every other army to try the concept did. Also, the M231 was a poor weapon. With only "safe" and "full auto" settings, it was intended to fire only tracer rounds and could only be aimed by adjusting the tracers while looking through a periscope. Reliability suffered and there was little prospect of sustained fire since only 20 round STANAG magazines were available at the time. Accordingly, our Bradley models will not model M231s. Also available are the M2A2 (includes ODS) and M2A3. M2A2 and A3 are available with or without ERA fitted.
The M2A2 was introduced in 1988, featuring a new bustle rack that greatly increased stowage, increased armor in all aspects, an improved seating arrangement for the dismounts and a more powerful engine. The change to the frontal armor and increased weight also eliminated provision for the flotation kit and any prospect of swimming Bradleys.
The Operation Desert Storm (ODS) upgrade pack incorporated lessons learned from that conflict, including an eye safe laser rangefinder, full stabilization for the gun, GPS integration, the short lived Missile Countermeasure Device and eventually Blue Force Tracker.
M2A3 was introduced in 2000, featuring a fully computerized vehicle, commander’s panoramic sight (CITV), second generation thermal imaging as well as further improvements to visibility and protection. M2A2 and A3 are available with or without ERA.
BUSK (Bradley Urban Survivability Kit) is in development and will go on sale just as soon as we figure out how to model the powerline protection kit in a way that's neither cartoonishly exaggerated nor overly fragile. That may take a while. M6 Linebacker is available in another listing.
If you want to buy a Bradley Mechanized infantry platoon, please don't use this listing. See our platoon pack listings to buy a full platoon of 80s-early 00s infantry in winter kit, with 4 Bradleys and bases for the infantry at a discount.
This is an all new design featuring improved detail and is much closer to true 1/100 than the old models.
3d SLA printed from grey resin under license from V. Mifsud's design in 15mm scale for your favorite wargames. This miniature will ship washed, cured and cleared of supports just like the photos.
